    Stolen simfiles

I don't know where else to put this, so I'll post here.

It was searching around and happened to find my simfile for MAXX Nintendo on here. However, it was uploaded by someone else who decided it was a good idea to take full credit for creating it; he didn't even bother to use different graphics or even remove my CDtitle from the .zip file.

    The simfile is here:

    http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...hp?songid=3766

Proof that I made this simfile can be found here.

I presume all the other simfiles this user uploaded are also stolen. I gave no permission for this user to upload the simfile here; is it possible for someone to remove it?

Was it once uploaded somewhere else at a previous date than this simfile?

Yes, I uploaded it to Bemanistyle a couple years ago. I usually require permission for people to use my simfiles (there's a note on the MAXX Nintendo listing I linked in my first post).

You can't just leave the internet a note and hope that people won't steal it :P
I don't think FFR could have the power to change the rights to whomever uploaded this because there's no solid proof that you did it. It could have been the other way; you trying to steal it... (of course this is really unlikely) but I don't think there's much they can do ]:

I say if he's so pathetic he needs to steal your simfile to feel special, let him have it. Of course if it was my creation I'd have a completely different perspective, but it's not so :P

            Re: Stolen simfiles

I remember Tass removing some simfiles when they were identified as "stolen" from another person. With a little proof, it was confirmed and copyright took effect.

So yeah, as long as you have some sort of proof, you should be able to work something out with one of the admis/mods.

              Re: Stolen simfiles

I originally uploaded the simfile to Bemanistyle (before they changed themes) in 2005 with tepples' permission. There's no way I could be stealing it from myself. If you want further proof I made this simfile, I can dig up the various files that went into making the song's banner and background - though I can't guarantee I still have them since I made the simfile three years ago.

Since the simfile has BPM changes, it won't work in FFR anyway, so I just want it deleted from here so someone else will stop taking credit for my work. I'm not going to reupload it here since the more ignorant among the community may think I'm stealing this user's work. Bemanistyle is proactive on the issue of dealing with stolen files, I figure FFR is the same way since it has an actual simulator associated with it.

I'll contact one of the mods about it. Thanks.

                1. I highly doubt that you made that simfile.
                2. Your not Dj. Tepple
                3. Your the one who stole it
                4. I found this on Dj. Tepple's website, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Um, I didn't say I was tepples, and tepples does not have the simfile for this song available on his website (he has my AM-260 simfile, but not this). He actually does not even have the song itself available on his website because I got it from him!

I made the simfile in 2005; I am D2RCR, that is MY CDtitle, those are MY graphics. Did you even look at the Bemanistyle link? Here, look at this. Need any more proof?

To prevent crap like this from happening again, I am now deleting all my simfiles from Bemanistyle (except the more popular ones). I've been making simfiles since 2003, I don't have to deal with moronic accusations like this.

The simfile is gone. I'm glad this site is run by reasonable people and not morons like you.

Reminds me of the "Steapmanai" thing that happened on the old Bemanistyle temp forums.
