if you have a USB connector to use with it, you can use the program AutoHotKey to do it. there should still be a sticky in this forum explaining what and how to use AHK.
I only ask because playing FFR using more than 4 inputs is referred to as "double setup" and is frowned upon as invalid play to the point that scores obtained using more than 4 inputs are apt to get deleted.

I think he wants to be able to use eight inputs because on a gamepad the only way for you to possibly do jumps would be for example:
Hitting left on the directional pad and then hitting circle on the button side. You can't possibly hit both square and circle or left and right at the same time due to the way the buttons are all set up.
Ed: that isn't true.... at least, not at slow speeds. I've played DDRMAX on the PS2 with a controller using just the 4 shape buttons, and jumps work fine.
and to the OP: using multiple inputs at the same time is considered cheating. now, if you were using left, down and then 2 of the shape buttons... and that's it... that'd be fine. but 1 directional arrow = 1 input
then why do they let u use the arrow key and the number pad key? i am sure a lot of the people here use both
Because the number keys with numlock off default to registering as duplicate keys to the arrows. I'm not sure they could make it -not- work that way.
And people can play left, down, 8, 6 spread (Before the advent of in-game keymapping, and the general availability of autohotkey and MRichard's keymapping program) using the keypad and numpad, but if you are generating scores implying you are using all 8 buttons at once (and people can tell) it is just as not allowed that way as any other.
