A quick ?

Why arnt all the songs in the widgets in the real ffr game? There are a few songs i wish to play that are in the widgets, but because widgets dont have speedmods and such i just never play them. FFR Admins please fix this.

Because then we would have Ashlee Simpson and Panic! At the Disco songs in the real game.

Not only that, but we'd also have about 1000 extra 3-5 minute long Rock songs that are really easy and you're trying to AAA but you get goods on them anyways because you're so bored.

Simple answer: In order to interest bands in the widget concept, we have to agree to give them enough songs to make it worth their while. Basically, if we aren't going to expose our users to enough of their songs, why should they bother. By the same token, we want to put enough variety and interest into our songs to have their myspace fans get interested in us.

So each band who agrees to work with FFR can expect somewhere around 6ish songs, whether it be 2 songs with light/standard/heavy, or 3 with 2 or whatever it happens to be, it is just the case that we are generating -way- too many songs to put them all or even most of them into the game.

The general theory that I've been made aware of goes "Band wants widget, Band gets widget within 2 days to 2 weeks depending on the arragement, songs go up on the widget list, 3 months later give or take, the hardest of the widget songs makes its way into the game"

This gets them enough exposure with us to make it worth their while, gets us enough exposure with them to make it worth -our- while, and doesn't completely flood the in-game song list with 3 or 4 songs from every artist who has a widget, most of which are 1-5 in difficulty.

I think Tass already answered this once... If I'm not mistaken, he said that most of the widget files wouldn't pass to get into the queue for the game. I agree with this, though some of the files are actually pretty good.

Panic! At the Disco is already in FFR and people are requesting these bands to the admins all over the place
