    Oh, jeez.

    I just played StepMania using an FFR noteskin. Got my fingers warmed up, went to play FFR and it looked choppy as crap, after playing at 60fps. The arrows seemed to scroll super slowly too.

          It doesn't really need to be an FFR noteskin. That's how I got to FC some songs I couldn't originally. I played SM for a while and immediately switched to FFR. Due to FFR's lower FPS , everything seemed much slower and easier to FC, but my PA was also inferior because the arrows looked choppy.
