    Style Switch!

So I switched to spread last week and it's working out very well for the FFR stepcharts (I was very used to charts made for pads that i played on SM, index). I used AHK to map a,s,k and l to Left, Down, Up, and Right respectively. I always had trouble doing crossovers, jumpstreams, and those little jumps at the end of triples that FFR stepchart-makers love so much. Anyone else switch to spread that doesn't regret it?

    I'm retired

          Congrats.

Me. I used to play one handed ... switched after a few weeks of playing. Haven't regretted it since.

Tried one handed once I started playing, hated it. Switched to spread, loved it and still use it. (Although I am practicing using index, and spreadex, which is switching to index when it's more convenient.)

I played one handed for a few years; I was able to AAA VD's and FC FMO's. Forced to play two handed when I made a sim for a 220 BPM song- no way I could play it one-handed. I can't stand spread, because I play with my ring/middle fingers

I tried spread a while back, and despised it. Thus, I stuck with index.

I play 4-finger, which isn't quite spread. I don't get the point of having your fingers so far apart.

HEY WHAT'S UP 200+BPM TRILLS MAYBE YOU ARE HARD?
Why would you put that in your signature? You've lost your signature rights for a month. (You'll get them back on March 10th, 2012.)

                    Good job. Spread>index.

BTW: Don't use AHK. Use the FFR keymapper. (Look for a thread entitled 'An alternative for keymapping' or something like that) It's much better.

Playing one-handed, 3 fingers. Really debating on trying spread though, only thing that's kept me from doing so is I have to find that keymapper first.

What seems to cause me trouble so far is doubles, especially in any sort of succession, but I'm still at the point where I'd blame that on recognition. I have this horrible habit of mixing ups and downs, especially on jumps.
