Different versions?

Different versions?

I am probably missing a topic somewhere, but I looked a little for it and nothing came up, so here we go:

I noticed that on some computers, there is a different version number for the game (FFR R1) - Like mine is .707 but my buddy's version is like 1.x or close to that. The version number has switched on me before, from .707 to .6x (dont know the number, I knew it was in the .6 range)

What is this?

.707 is what shows up for me, and as so far as I know, accurate to the present.
