Re: I got a Vista computer for Christmas...
Actually, I failed a major project at school and it was Vista's fault. I made a 30 minute video on Hinduism and spent about 36 hours making it. Then I realized, "Hey, this is in .ogg format, an open source format. Open source... hmmm, means Windows doesn't support it in any way. Microsoft hates open source." So I decided to try to convert it to any of the various proprietary formats Microsoft does support. At this time it was the night before presentation. I stayed up until 3:30, spending 6 hours trying to convert it, without success. Then [long rant about technology-clueless teacher omitted] long story short, it didn't work on the computer hooked up to the projector because it ran Vista, and Vista doesn't support OGG Theora or Vorbis out of the box, and we as students aren't allowed to download or install anything on school computers. It really sucked, because the video was 30 of our 50 minute presentation, and the other person decided to base his speech on my video instead of researching himself, without telling me. We failed the project miserably, because of Microsoft Windows Vista.Comment

Re: I got a Vista computer for Christmas...
rofl, well, they have no choice, every non-customized computer, comes with Vista, stores even know that is sucks, but can't do nothing about it, since it will cost too much money to replace everything with XP.
O and once again, Vista, makes you lose 12% of your Frames Per Second according to Nu0n.
Yea rofl, ppl that can't do hard songs, start saying Vista works right, but they don't realize, MAYBE THATS WHY THEY DONT HAVE AAA's.

Re: I got a Vista computer for Christmas...
Its not vista, its your computers. Try doubling your ram, or if a desktop get a video card. I know FFR/SM do not call for a video card, but Vista does. So either spend the cash to upgrade your PC to the recommended specifications or "stop whining" Its a given fact that vista runs programs the same way as XP. You can even run programs in compatability mode back to 98. I run Vista Premium and have no lag issues. I also spent a grip on my laptop.Comment

Re: I got a Vista computer for Christmas...
I hate to contradict, and I may very well be wrong, but Vista does not run the same as XP or any other version. As someone said earlier, Vista has a 12.6% loss in FPS (I can't verify this), which means there's a nice little chunk of lag. What I can promise you though, is that Vista needs a better RAM and video card than it's predecessors to run the same program. Its not vista, its your computers. Example that anyone can check at their local game store: Crysis requires 2 gigs RAM to run on XP, 2.2 on Vista. Any other game also has a higher requirement for Vista than any other previous windows.
