That time has come. I've been dreading it every day up until now. T
The Flash Flash Revolution GAUNTLET.

By FFR Gauntlet I mean that time in your FFR career where you first have to go back
and AAA all of the easy,tricky,difficulty (etc) songs...

...all of the rank 1240927149012749012 scores you got when
you started the game you must AAA to "fix" your average rank.

I would like some tips on how to get through this annoying onslaught of easy and incredibly boring files.

What, do you people do this when you are drunk or high? I would figure you would have to be to stomach this task.

Im not really that good but, when im done, I would at least like to get into the Top 100 or so...
At least somewhere around there ^_^

Simple solution. Turn off your speakers and listen to your own music. Thats how I did it. And even after that, I still need to go back and do some songs =\

Don't do them all at once or your head'll asplode. Do like 2-3 every morning then 2-3 in the vening or something like that.

I'm doing that, and LOLing at every amazingly bad FC I've ever attained. And, even so, is it extremely necessary to look good in pixel statistics? Really, just keep your average rank sucky, and save the pain. Keep FFR fun.

You'll burn yourself out if you go back to fix your average rank at where you are now, but if you want to, just be sure to mix it in with fun songs. Throw a BB Revenge inbetween the 7th and 8th backflag you got on that five minute long For Beginners song.

I'm generally content to stop once I get to the "The only way to get a better score is to whore whore whore the song"

So I'm pretty happy to not bother AAA'ing anything I've gotten 3 or less goods on three times in a row, as being not really worth the time. I'm sure down the road I'll come back to them, but there are harder songs that can still be improved via skill instead of whoring, for me to spend my time on.

Dude, seriously...you aren't at the "Whore the easy songs for AAAs" stage until you at -least- have all your songs up under rank 6,000 or so.

First step is actually log a score for all the songs you have a 0 on. Next step is start from difficulty 1, and just full combo everything you can.

-Then- look at going back to AAA it all.

The reason all of my songs arent under 6000 is because I played songs then quit.
I can get close to SDG on most Very Challenging songs.


When I started, I was dumb and started playing on tricky (Were like very difficult or difficult back then) songs.
So basically, I wouldnt do well on all of the songs I have played, and the rank stayed that way for years (Ok well 2)

@Devonin: I've tried whoring on Excite Bike. EIGHT BACKFLAGS AND NO AAA. I'd kill myself if I didn't FPC Strategem before it. But, since I have, I can blame my failure on the 16ths. Yellow is now my least favorite color.

I'm currently doing that also. A good trick to try is to learn a new playing style. Time went faster when I learned playing index, now I can play like that not too bad, and a lot of easy songs have been played.
