Speed Settings?

What do you think the ideal speed setting/hand configuration etc is?

I'm currently using pointer/middle finger from each hand and using left hand on the arrow keys and right hand on the 8 & 6 keys on the numpad, and I'm using 1.5 speed without cutting my screen in half. I realize that it takes some time to get used to new settings so I'm wondering what is probably an ideal setup to get the best in the long run.

I'm completely willing to re-learn to play with different settings but I don't want to waste time adjusting to something really sub-optimal.

(oh, I just started playing again after like 2 years of nothing, and if i spend the time i can fc almost all tricky songs, and a few difficults/very difficults)

You should get a auto hotkey assigner and use

a,s-l,;
or anything on those lines. Make sure you are using four fingers though.

i use as;' and 2x for PA and 1.75 for combo
