    Changing playing style

I'm an indexer at heart, but looking at all the songs here, I've noticed that index is rather limiting in some cases. I'm trying spread now, and after fiddling a bit with different key mappings, have chosen zx ./ as my 4 keys that best suit me.

I've tried changing more than once, but more than often my lazy performance has demoralised me and made me change back to index. But now, I'm doing a bit better but still have trouble on fast streams/jumpstreams, rolls, one-hand rushes, etc ...

    Any tips?

Don't try to pick up at the difficulty you left off at. You may want to go back to easier levels and practice there. When those get easy, move up.

Also, if you haven't given speed mods a shot yet, try them out. Or, maybe your current speed mod is too fast for your reaction time on the new style? You may want to try lowering your speed mod. Honestly, that one isn't something I'm jump at trying out, but I'm trying to throw a couple ideas out.

I used to index at 1.5, 1.75 wasn't enough reaction time. But now I do 1.75 with spread because it just improves me overall.

I've been trying easier songs. Heck, yesterday I did FFR Space and that Supermario Bros song to pracice. :P

I've noticed now that I also have trouble with a lot of jumps in a row. My fingers sometimes tend to hit 3 arrows, or hit not hit one of the two.

Really just keep practicing with that play style to get better. That's the best advice I can recommend. When I first starting playing spread I sucked, but now I'm way better than I ever was one handed.
