Tips on improving PA?

I was wondering if anybody had any tips or strategies to help me improve my PA. It's so crappy it's painful. For example today, I hit:
15461 arrows:
11313 Perfect
2991 Good
1157 Average.

This gives me about only 73% perfect arrows.

I've tried all sorts of things like hitting the keys in different ways, changing scroll rates up and down, but nothing has seemed to work for me yet, except practice, and that is only working very slowly.

Any ideas?

PA comes along naturaly with getting better, my PA used to be horrible, but once you start figuring out patterns, ull start hitting the arrows perfectsly.

But i guess you can play stepmania also, since getting your MA better will make ur PA better.

Oh no, I guess I'll have to be the one to recommend using a speed mod (and if you already are, consider using a faster one). Some people also prefer to screencut.

Get stepmania, get some easyish songs, set the judge difficulty as high as it goes.

I got Stepmania, got some hard songs, and put the judges on [Life: 1, Judging: 9]

You mean Justice.
And hard songs wont do much, unless your skilled already.
You can firstly put the quality down.
You can choose your MOD such as 1x, 1.25x, 1.5x or higher. I recomment 1.25x or 1.5x. 1.25x would help with a BIT of screenshrink and 1.5x without screenshrink.
Then you can practice and improve your timing, rhythm, technique, speed, endurance and skill.

I was horrrrible at PA and at this game until I went to 2.0x speed. Everything just seemed sooo much easier. You might need a faster reflex or need to get used to it but I cannot for the life of me go back to 1.5x or 1.75x. They seem way too slow. With 2.0x, I hit perfects way more too! Woot woot.
