I'm trying to switch to UP arrows rather than DOWN so I can do both but I've been playing DOWN for like 2+ years any suggestions on the adjustment or how to get better at it quicker? I usually train on speed mods and then work with 1.25x and it makes everything easier to understand and I plan on completely avoiding DOWN for a while any other ideas?

Re: Need some help
Well, you have to work your way up when you are switching the arrow direction. If you are doing it opposite direction, the arrows might confuse you so start with easier songs, until oyu get the hang of them coming from the bottom to top. Then when you have praticed that long enough you will have the same skill or even better skill.

Re: Need some help
Yea that's what I'm going for, do you think it would help to alternate, like play a song once (that I know I can do UP) DOWN and then play it UP until I can do it just as well? Or would that just get confusing?Comment

Re: Need some help
Oh, a fellow reverse player turning traitor.
Haha, just joking. I suggest starting out with easy songs. Maybe Difficulty 4 or 5; just easy enough to get used to seeing the arrows differently. Chances are, the left and right arrows aren't going to bug you at all, but up and down will. If you can score well on the easier levels, keep moving up until you hit a wall, and then practice there. I guess it's a lot like starting over, except you'll still have all your speed; you'll just have to get used to recognizing the way things look.
May I ask why you are switching? I'm just curious.Comment

Re: Need some help
I'm not really switching, It's more like I want to be ambidextrice FFR style haha I guess that's one way to put it, but really the main reason is I want to be able to play The Divine Suicide of K. [Heavy] by Protest the Hero, that's what got me started because I love the song and as soon as I heard that they got a widget I was like crap, it's only going to be UP.
More or less both, not really switching.Comment

Re: Need some help
Oh, well, versatility is always cool. And I see what you mean about the widgets, I guess they don't have mods (I haven't tried one yet), so if you want to play them, you'd better learn up, heheh.Comment
