Have to be more precise with syncing? Wouldn't one put the same amount of effort syncing a song for FFR / DWI / SM? As far as I know, SM needs a different gap value and that's it

yea, getting the gap right is one of the hardest parts for alot of people, and making the steps flow with the song....

ffr doesn't matter, because it won't be onbeat anyway XD aside from the odd stepfile like SZR>

plus its more fun on sm anyway :> especially if the stepfile has good steps....like for ffr or uber rave, ect

rage a thing you gotta work on is the gap.. remember... your gap needed to be tweaked even though you thought it was perfect. a gap is more-less a number then it is a feeling.. you gotta feel the gap. thats why my gap turned out to feel better when you were playing it on SM.

I wasn't making it for SM though...the DWI had perfect gap, but just for DWI... yes, I know when I played it in SM it was a little off

GAP should be the same for SM and DWI... for FFR GAP should be 0 because of the difference in framerates and stuff.

I told Rage to not use GAP because the simple fact is (and can be confirmed by Synthlight) that the FFR Stepfile Generator is currently having difficulties with GAP, the most offbeat songs are songs with GAP that is not plainly "0;".

                I like the song. But I think it's a little bit off-beat...

                    actually squarebear was the first
he both wrote and did the stepfile for um.... is it raindrops? lol i totally forgot the song name
It's one of the last songs in the dance section, you'll find it heh
I bought the progam Fruity Loops 3 a while back and Raindrops was one of the original songs that came with it. And it was by some guy named Toby something. So I don't think Squarebear (whoever the heck that is) did Raindrops.

Toby Emerson made raindrops. Squarebear stepped his own song "Falling into you"

unidentified.. any stepfile maker who makes DWI's for ffr knows that the gap should always be 0 because of that... you didnt prove anything to anyone

If you ask me, 4FT3R M3 really, really needs to be ungapped and reconverted.

I'll need to keep in mind to use 0 gap for my next coming song for FFR, I'm not really sure if Hyro told me to use it or not. I just recalled Arch's [pre-edit] DWI making tutorial, even though I used notepad, that seemed to stress not to use 0 GAP. Arch isn't to blame of course, I should've known that FFR wouldn't handle it right. Does Synth make it 0 gap and correct it himself, or does he crunch it through the converter?

um, how about this song being a clear ripoff of a song on square enix's "chrono cross"
