Headphones?

i have a little survey/poll. do you think that using headphones makes your PA better? i think it does, this is why.

first time i played {Blaze} for a long time, i wanted to FC it, so i thought i try and put headphones on, so i did, and they are from Radioshack, so im not using any phony headphones to "enhance" my play without me doing it. but this is my score, im still really happy of it.



nice score, great PA, now, im being very honest and truthful, i played {Blaze} again but without headphones, and this happened.



i was still completely focused, but i figured out a hypothesis for this.

headphones, for me, and possibly for other people, can enhance your gameplay and your perfect attack by not hearing your own beat, your own keytaps, but my hearing the actual song, and you get more tuned in since your fingers are going to the rythym of the song.


so, try it yourself, and see if your scores improve. im not saying this will work for everyone, but just see if it does.

it doesnt help me, so i think it must be just a personal thing for some people. just like looking at a certain spot on the screen or playing on the beat or just judging the arrows placement with your eyes. good for you, you found something that helps you play better. wanna find one for me?

I think you only did good on the first one because it was an essential sightread. Meaning you haven't played it in a while.

Then on the second time you got used to the steps and knew what to hit so you hit things early.

Just a guess.

Wireless headphones = BAD

lol funny, I just played with headphones first time today.

Well, it depends on the song. For something like ESC - Super Version, DEFINITELY, in headphones I could hear the little things in the music the steps were going to. It helps me in Palindrome, too. And I've played Palindrome like a billion times lol

But I could still hear my keytaps, that was what was nice about playing ESC with headphones. I could compare my keytaps to the music, because ESC is actually in sync.

oh yeah? i might try that. and yes, NEVER GET ANYTHING WIRELESS! it sucks balls, except for some routers, like mine.
