I know this sounds pretentious as hell, but I'm a pretentious metalhead. Can anybody supply a reasonable explanation for why Resistance by Zao is called Heavy Metal? Zao is hardcore, not metal. Massive, massive failing here on someone's part.
Horrific music categorizing problem.

I'm a metalhead as well, so I kinda understand where you're coming from... But in all honesty it doesn't matter.

Re: Horrific music categorizing problem.
You're sad because out of over 400 songs you take offense that something isn't filed exactly how you want it to be, despite having it explained to you that those classifications are actually just meaningless? I'm not seeing how "Compared to a song being called an example of the "sup jewp" style, something being heavy metal instead of hardcore is not a big deal" somehow equates to (In your opinion anyway) a right to insult everyone by making an idiotic generalisation [I say 'in your opinion anyway' because I'm sure to some segment of the people you thought you were insulting, they would go 'why yes, I do like coldplay, thank you for noticing]Comment

Re: Horrific music categorizing problem.
for the record... that "sup jewp" was removed months ago. and every song's style is at least VERY close to being accurate, if not completely accurate.
in today's musical society, there are literally thousands of sub-genres to consider... and it isn't always possible to be 100% accurate.RIPComment
