Some computers have major advantages

Some of you probably already know this but.

At home I have a a computer that can handle this game to the speed it should be going.

For example I play Youkosul Himitsu on Dance 2 and get about 50-60% score of record holder and get 2000 or so rank on that song.

But I was at this computer store and they had several computers up to pass time while you wait your turn, when I played on one of their computers I FC'd that song at the same speed, along with some other songs. The arrows just came a lot slower, I played 2x speed but it felt like 1.5 or even lower. Maybe it was cause there was a crowd of people watching me play FFR so I did really well, but I'm pretty sure at home the arrows come at me much faster and I have far less time to react.

Whats up? :/

Some comp's are just that way, you just have to deal with it I guess.

this could also be a result of your screen resolutions. Depending on your screen size, the same resolution will vary slightly for every monitor. Also, your game capacity may make them seem to flow a lot smoother. If you wish to make them go slower, try low resolution and that should help.

I personally wouldn't spend money on a new computer just to get better at FFR though...

Actually, no I think I understand it a bit differently... I've played on computers that make the arrows move oh, so slightly slower... And actually get offbeat with the music, and I've played computers that make the arrows like 1.3x the speed that they actually should be coming... It actually increases the arrow/song speed and decreases the gameplay time... I don't understand exactly why, but it just happens sometimes...

It can a mixture of any of these(and more, I'm sure):

Internet Performance
Monitor Size
Screen Resolution
Screen Refresh Rate
Video Card
RAM
Computer Performance in General

play the game on 800 X 600 , then play Low res and you'll see what I mean for screen resolution. In fact, I can't play this game low res because I find the arrow images on normal mode twitch. Another way to test this is to play on a.. 20 inch CRT Screen, switch to a 19 inch flat screen and then try on a 15" Laptop. Notice the difference? I will.

Meh, some of the time I'll lag right at the start of the song, it'll ALWAYS ruin my combo. Like, after 20-30 notes, right when the white text dissapears. Dunno what it is. On my old computer sometimes I'd lag right at the start and all the arrows would be offsync. Kinda strange. O_o


Lol, just tried low res and never got more than a 40 combo on Delirium. I'm not used to the scroll speed. >_>;

Then I wouldn't see the point in playing the game in the first place.

Don't we all play to get better or some of us the best?
