AAA bar.....

I was reading through the R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2 thread and came across this section here:

If these songs really are impossible to AAA, why does the maximum possible AAAs in the AAA bar in each person's profile match the number of FCable songs, assuming all songs can be FCed? I know FF7 and Chrono Trigger are gone, meaning all songs should be possible to FC, but they're not all possible to AAA..... doesn't this mean the AAA bar will never hit the max? The max should be the actual max..... not the ideal max.

Also, why are these songs impossible to AAA? Is it really just because of jacks? It seems like somebody could come around and hit those jacks....

I believe the AAA bar checks for rank 1 on any given song.

You can't hit those jacks perfectly because the frames overlap making you hit both arrows with one keytap.

the jacks are either 2-1 framers and cant both be hit perfects. 2 framer i believe is a good and perfect and 1 framer is an average and perfect. someone correct me if im wrong.

This is true, mainly because it's a lot easier on the programmers to count rank 1 as 'AAAs' than actual AAAs

Also, confirming this.

2framers = 1 good, 1 perfect
1framers = 1 average, 1 perfect (I think this only shows up in CP, though =/)

Edit: And obvious classical songs have 1framers too I believe.

Oh, okay. Then AAA is sort of a weird thing to call that gauge, but whatever, why split hairs, I guess.

Oddly enough, None of them do. They are 2+ framers

we specifically coded those bars so that a perfect score on a song where a AAA is not the perfect score will still count as a AAA.

if that makes sense.

so tassel means, altho getting 3 goods on Caprice is not a AAA, since the higest possible score is 3 goods with perfect timing it will still count as a AAA. :]

AAA =/= all perfects
AAA === Max possible score on a song

This means the 3 goods on Caprice is an AAA.

Ironically I just got the AAA for those who want to see: it indeed increased my AAA count from 74 to 75

AAA means maximum possible score. Those songs are not FPC (full perfect combo)-able. Every song is AAA-able, because every song has a maximum possible score.
