Question(s): How is the "Total" score calculated? Is it linearly dependent on the "Score" and Max combo or does it somehow involve the number of Perfects-Goods-Averages-Misses-(and) boos?

I suppose I could gather different trials of games each with varying numbers of each (P-G-A-M-B-Max Combo), express information as a system of equations, and use basic linear algebra (plug it into a matrix) and solve it using a calculator... but I'm too lazy and would rather type.

Anyone?

perfect = 500
great = 250
average = 50
combo x 1000

score + above = total score

add those up and i forgot misses and boos >.<

lol i am right its just that it adds the score >.< if you look the score is -5 and the total is -20 for a boo hience - 15

Yay, I was correct. To unlock ~Absolute Zero~, set the autofail to 2 perfects and 5 misses. Hit one perfect and miss the rest. Simple math.

...what's the point in setting the autofail to 2 perfects? You're only going to hit one arrow anyway, unless you're retarded and decide to hit the jump.

That's how I did it. What if I set it to 1 perfect? Then I couldn't go for the misses because the autofail activated.

All Xiao is saying is that there's no need to put the autofail for Perfects on. If any number in the auto-fail is 0, it won't just stop the song immediately, because it DOESN'T ACTIVATE. That's why they're set to 0 by default.
