I was playing chrono trigger, trying to beat smitty's score-which probably wouldn't happen anyway, and at the point right before the bugged arrows i held down right to boo out, and i hit the first bugged one while holding it down. Is this normal to hit those arrows like that, or does that not happen at all. I know they are unhittable by FFR terms, but i played again, and at the point of unhittable arrows i held down right again, and it hit again. Try it and you'll see. I find that they are not altogether unhittable.

Re: Chrono Strangeness
Are you sure? The unhittable arrow is the last one in the roll:
<---
-v--
--^-
--->

The red arrow is the one you can neither see nor hit.
I suppose if your repeat rate on your keyboard is faster than 30 per second (which is wtf in itself) it might be possible to hit it like that. -
Re: Chrono Strangeness
You mean Chrono has an arrow you can't see or hit?
Wtf! Why would FFR have a song up like that?

Re: Chrono Strangeness
basically
It's because Hyrogashi was too retarded to realize that 64th jacks don't work on FFR. The notes are so close together that they get put on the same frame when they're converted to an FFR file.Comment

Re: Chrono Strangeness
That means that if you're that fast-which is nearly impossible- you CAN hit it lolComment

Re: Chrono Strangeness
Yeah. Just like I honestly think it's possible AAA songs like Gradeus, just nobody will ever be that fast.Comment

Re: Chrono Strangeness
Hear me out (note that this is totally theoretical since nobody will ever be that fast):
The FFR scoring system, by frame, is AGPPPG with the arrow appearing on the last perfect frame. Now, on a two frame jack:
A-
G-
PA
PG
PP
GP
-P
-G
Notice how the last perfect frame of the first arrow overlaps the first perfect frame of the second arrow.
So, if you could somehow hit the arrow key twice on that same frame, you would get two perfects.
However, my point is completely moot if FFR doesn't register multiple arrows on the same frame, but as there's no real way to test that we'll never know.Comment

Re: Chrono Strangeness
No, it's impossible.
It's easy to test, just try doublesetup on the first 2-framer of 100 BB. I know I tried it several times that way, but jack syndrome wins every time, no matter how fast you do it.4th Official FFR Tournament - Master division champion!

Re: Chrono Strangeness
Interestingly, you seem to get an avmiss regardless of whether or not the second note is past the av window when you start hitting.

Re: Chrono Strangeness
That is weird.
If you aren't already, try doing that on 2x where it's easier to see individual frames.

Re: Chrono Strangeness
nevermind, you get a good if you hit it late enough. just kind of an illusion.
but yea, definitely not possible to FC it.4th Official FFR Tournament - Master division champion!
