People are always complaining about how they can't get highscores or any decent scores due to the offbeatness and stuff of ffr. Yes this is somewhat true, but it is greatly exaggerated. Me and Reach have no problem doing this on basically every level especially the hard ones. PLUS, if you are as good as some people like volkov and others you should have NO problem just being able to read the arrows and thus the offbeatness doesn't matter. On a side note, on songs like uberrave and caprice, I hit the arrows at the exact same manner in which I hit them on SM and I get like 98 percent perfects (assuming good other factors (ie. no lag, etc.)). And I don't understand how some of the uber1337 players can't get good scores... I mean, come on... all you need on some of these hard songs is pretty crappy combo and don't tell me you can't keep a combo on songs like caprice, uberrave, aim anthem, etc. on ffr and you can do it on sm...

alot of the players don't care about their scores. like me...ill try once...maybe a couple if i like the song and thats it.

plus the way ffr scoring system is, they could do really well and still score low because of combo.

Because I can't. If it's not onsync perfect, the whole song is messed up for me. I'm used to songs with perfect timing because I have perfect timing, not because some idiot couldn't find a gap right, or some idiot who used 0 gap didn't even know that it was supposed to be orange note syndrome instead of yellow note syndrome. I'm aware some of you can score higher than me on songs, but that's my crappiness of not being able to keep my pace, not how onsync I am as most of you couldn't even tell that aim anthem was hugely off. Nima, honestly, with your sense of what is onsync and what is off, I seriously don't see how you can get some of your scores.

Actually that isn't true at all. You are telling me they can't keep a 250 or so combo (all they need to get a highscore) on caprice... even first try they should. Or like 500some combo on rev etude... I mean come on that song is insanely easy on ffr the first 550 or so notes I mean... That's all they need for a highscore and you're telling me they can't get that? Like caprice the first 300 or so notes are PISS easy... so i don't see how you could get less than 300 combo if you are even a half decent player. No offence. So unless you have like 80 misses there is no way you could do well on a song like that and not get a highscore cause of the combo. How the hell could you miss that many times on caprice? or uberrave? or rondo? or whatever you want to name that is semi-hard.
plus, lots of players do try several times. Either way I get a highscore first try everytime... I just make it better each time, like come on you can't get 250/300 combo on aim anthem to get a highscore? or any other level? The first 200 or so are freebies... And the jackhammers are basically all patterns. The same can be said for almost any level.

Also, Reach who has a horrible computer seems to be fine with the ffr stuff. I know its offsync, but even when it is I sometimes either turn off the music or figure out the first few notes and then hit the types accordingly. That should be no problem if you are really good.

I always compliment the other players no matter how good they are in the brag board, you just try to attack me any time you get a chance so stfu.
Btw, on most of the really offbeat songs I just turn off the music or ignore it and read the notes. That's what I did for aim anthem and had no prob getting over 1mill a few times. Even Reach got only 1/2 misses on that song I think.

Off-beat is when the song has a wrong gap or BPM value, which causes a flow that is inconsistent to the song, and off-sync is when the arrows don't go to the flow of the music?

I just wanted to know, since I'm going to start making stepfiles (by the way, why do you people make it sound like making stepfiles is so hard? i opened up notepad and got to it, and it's easy as shit..)

Offsync is wrong GAP/BPM, and offbeat is not having 4ths/8ths match the beat of the song.

ok, that's why when i play songs like aim anthem onsync I get mostly misses and boos and goods and crap I understand your point arch, but I'm just asking a question so don't attack me, why can't you read the arrows/ignore the music/etc.

the beats (of the music) should fall on red or blue arrows. if they're not than its offbeat (look at payon1. yellow arrows during the song, due to wrong gap). if the arrows arn't in sync with the musics beats, than its offsync.
