    Re: speed mod question

no. in fact, it potentially makes it worse. since you have less time to react to the notes, you have a tendency to hit them later... which as we all know, gives us avmisses.

well, i play ddr a whole lot and there are some songs you simply can't pass without memorizing the staps or speed mods(i.e. BAG, ORION 78 Amuero mix)

they spread out the arrows so you can see the order and timeing in which you need to push keys. also: the faster the arrow scrolling, the better chances of perfects than goods

Yes, we know that's true for the stuff you're probably playing, but if you try really fast stuff, and do it reasonably well without mashing, then try the same thing with speed mods, you should see what we're talking about.

well, of course speed mods won't be good for every song! but if it's one you can do and get 490 perfects and 10 goods, put on a mod, you should get at least 495 perfects. It keeps you more alert and establishes a more distinct beat

Yea, but that also might make it so you get one average, one miss, and one boo in the process b/c of jack syndrome.

Same here, that's all I use. I find that, like tass said, using faster speed mods, it's much harder to play faster songs (i.e. EHHS in my opinion.)
