Oh please.... FFR can't even support BPM changes! What the hell is wrong with you people?
StepMania is more powerful, has online compatibility, a huge amount of features, and custom themes/noteskins/anything.
I don't know how you can think about FFR being better than SM. FFR is a freaggin flash, StepMania is an actual program that is more powerful than any flash can be.
And I bet there are some people out there that'll say,"SO?!?! FFR CAN BE PLAYED ANYWHERE, IT'S LIKE PORTABLE LOLOLOLOL!"
So? Get a freaggin 2 gig flash drive and stick StepMania in it. Now you have a portable StepMania engine that you can take anywhere.
The whole point of this thread really is that now that FFR has speedmods I don't really have much of a need to play SM and I was wondering if anyone else feels the same?
Since I've had Speed Mods I certainly haven't felt any more of a need to play FFR, except right when they came out. I'd rather take my 1,500 song SM library over FFR's song library any day.
And you know guys, if it wasn't for SM, how would we have all of the simfiles for FFR? Do you think people make the sims in Notepad or something? FFR owes a lot to StepMania.
If I didn't suck at FFR I would play it more though =P
You can't compare the 2 because they aim for different audiences. FFR is usually for quick games/simple play, whereas SM is for either defined home play or simulation ( Cabinets and Home games and such ).
I play FFR because I want to play FFR, which is a totally different game compared to SM.
but if you want to get totally technical, SM can win easily because of 3 things:
- Open Source
- User Expansion
- Accuracy
But, FFR is still good for what it's meant to be. :3
