    Spinitup Copyright Laws?

    http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/382393

Is that game in any relation to the creators of spinitup here on ffr?

Because that game is prettyyy much the same....

Also if you search flashflashrevolution on newgrounds, someone had made a weak attempt in copying the game.

Glad to see proof of concept on the doubles mode that I thought would be a great idea.

Now if only Spin It Up could implement doubles along with a special peripheral...

It was pretty cool to have doubles on a SIU like thing. But i think 8 directions on one speaker would be better/easier. It's getting pretty annoying though, how no new features have came to spin it up, and so many need to happen.

        I found that fairly lame.

Cornandbeans made most the songs for that game. But there's no copyright on SIU as how FFR and SM arn't being sued by konami.

The game was actually fun. They should make a double mode on SIU but not make it the primary mode.

Doubles is what made it different to SIU. I would love to see doubles in SIU, but I don't play SIU much so I don't really care.

                Re: Spinitup Copyright Laws?

SIU has and is undergoing massive graphic enhancements and recoding. It has been for a few months now behind shut doors. I will take a look at this guy's code and see if everything is legit. If he used any of the same code, that would be grounds for a lawsuit. We could also pursue a copyright lawsuit but I would rather see this genre and other games in the genre continue to grow.

                Cheers,

Well Fido, on newgrounds, flash authors can use any songs in the audio lounge for free, and cornandbeans has put up many of his songs there, i guess the author is just a really big fan.

That would mean delays, LOTS of delays. We wouldn't see FFR R1 V3 for a few more years, seeing how long the American Justice system takes.
