    Keyboarding speed issues

I would like to know if there is a good method to get better with slower arrow speeds.

I did a little expirement after getting frustrated with a few ffr songs. The left picture is X2(290bpm) the right one is C400. There should not be that big of a difference and i dont know how to fix it.

Because it frustrates me that i cant, I believe that learning to deal with slower speeds would improve my timing, and there are pad and songs Fascination Maxx that i want to be able to do without c mods.

        Re: Keyboarding speed issues

Iv noticed that when Im playing stepmania, my fingers are doing more work because stepmania is faster then FFR. When playing FFR the speed is like C200 or something. Basically its playing on 1x. The reason why its a lot harder to play FFR without screen shrinking is because your trying to read all those arrows. Screen shrinking cuts out those arrows and lets you focus on less arrows.

Stepmania on the other hand is a lot easier. You dont need to screen shrink.
When playing 2x or c300 or higher, the notes are spread out enough so theres no trouble with reading them. Its just the finger work. Going faster.

I noticed that im not going as fast on FFR then on stepmania. Try playing Quasar on stepmania on C400 and then try playing CIA rave in FFR on its normal speed. CIA rave on stepmania is faster then playing CIA rave on FFR. (Yes hi19hi19 has a cia rave sim) and Quasar on FFR would probably be less fast but would be a lot harder to read.

So learning how to play on a slower speed mod is quite handy for FFR. Though its harder it pays off.

        See my point?

Same. I can't even pass Quasar on 1x (155 bpm), but I AAA'd it on c715. If you must use slow speed mods, at least screenshrink.

I never thought of doing screen shrink. It makes me sad that i didnt use it before because it greatly helps. Finally managed to FC CIA Rave and ESC Superversion.

actually i'm pretty sure he AAA'd it on 1x after that

when you say "there shouldn't be that big of a gap" between C290 and C400 you're pretty wrong. i play C700 and if i attempted C810 or C590 I wouldn't even be able to pass anything harder than quasar 1.2 or 1.3.
