I know it's really hard to do a perfect job on judging simfiles. I +'d 27 files out of 92 in the newest batch, and it's a proper percentage I think. Tass will re-judge those files that me or shash +'d. Hopefully this system will help.
I never "+" files that are offsync (actually this is one of the most relevant factors of skill), wrong rhythm, with meaningless jacks (don't work on FFR), repetitive, etc.
IMO, jumpstreams/roll bursts are ok unless they're obviously overused or misplaced since they're the only hard patterns that work well on FFR.

If the simfile is offbeat it's probably going to suck anyway, but don't do that. It's SO GOD DAMN EASY to hit F11 or F12 a couple times at most to get the sync right. (Assist tick and autoplay, changing sync is piss easy for ANYONE to do) You shouldn't even worry about syncing unless the song goes offbeat because it needs a bpm change or something.
And if the simfile is GOOD but is goes offsync or something. Just send it to me, I'll resync it in like 5 seconds
i actually made a long reply and post to this thread.... but it would appear that it didn't post, for whatever reason. i made it yesterday from a motel in oklahoma.
i don't feel like re-typing it all up. basically... because i am.
if you feel like discussing this in a rational manner, feel free to message me on AIM Snapps. but please have examples.
