Three Keys at Once: Why Not?

I think it would be kinda cool to have some combos of three keys in some songs. Do some keyboards not support more than two? In the harder songs, esp. d2, there are practically combos of three and four, but not straight up 3,4 combos.

my keyboard can do 3 arrows, unless the up arrow is one of the 3, then it just goes, BEEP

Thats what ahk is for.

You could have two on ethier(lol) side of the keyboard.

for example I use zx and numpad8 and numpad9, that makes it so I can effectively press 4 simultaneously.

No.

Simply because there are a LOT of people that either don't know of AutoHotKey or just simply don't use it.

For example, 1 handers.

Not to mention the fact that most keyboards by themselves don't allow more than 2 keys pressed at the same time and it would be extremely retarded to FORCE people to use something like AutoHotKey just to play a song.

So, in short: This will probably never happen.

FFR... shouldn't really have hands. Sim authors would probably start abusing them, especially the amateur authors.

Oh, and in general, don't ever try to make FFR like SM. They are different and distinct, linked only by the fact that they each have 4 arrows. Otherwise, they are drastically different and should never be compared.

Even with hotkeys my crap computer just won't register more than two keys at once.
That's why I don't spend alot of time playing SM.

The 2 things FFR shouldnt have:

Hands and Holds.

I can just picture this new kind of step called Hold Streams and people making simfiles with like 100 holds in them and then holds on the 64th notes just to
make it look uber-synced....

Hands would make it harder to AAA

and then what do you get when you combine the 2 with FFR?

Meh. I want hands in FFR, but that's a battle I will always lose. Too many people can't register more than 2 keys at once.

Although I don't see why tokens/skill tokens can't have hands, since they don't count on your levelrank it's alright if some people can't play them properly.

All you have to do is place rly high in an official tourney and you can see the song with hands in it =D=D=D

Seriously though, no, we won't be using hands in R1 main songs. Ever. End of story.
