    Switching from Index to Spread

Alright I'm finally taking the initiative and switching over from index to spread. Some songs just have patterns that are too hard to master for index. My question for the people of FFR is:

Which songs should I use to make the transition?

And should I use auto hotkey or just the four arrow keys? (Or maybe a combo of arrows and numbers)

Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Re: Switching from Index to Spread

i find for songs like UNknown Girl i need to switch to spread [well pretty much just for Unknown girl... that is if i want to FC] and when i do i use 2 fingers on down and left, and two on numpad 8 and 6.
    works really well..

but thats the only song i use it on >.<
im better at index on almost every other song

personally, i think you should use autohotkeys. Try playing songs from the first page of dance 2 until you start getting the patterns. =]

I don't think that it really matters what setup you use as far as which is easier; however I find that I can't really use two arrows and the numpad since I normally play with hotkeys. Basically just make sure that whichever you choose is comfortable since chances are it will be putting a different strain on your hands compared to playing index which could lead to pain for a while.
