It's possible, but I don't see why you would use something like xstep or notepad if you could use SM.

I tried that once without stepmania... Then i played it and had to throw it out cause nothing was even close lol

Well I dont even know how to make a file on notepad

i basically ignore everything he says.

this just in: stepmania hardc0re 1337 players generally don't really know what a good FFR file is, given that their reaction is typically significantly different from most other peoples'

that includes hi19 who fancies himself as one

you can safely ignore any negative comments they make about new files

JX's files are fine and quite impressive for notepad really

Yea it's possible to make GOOD sims w/o using SM, and I do.
Ignore whoever doesn't agree with it =)

Making sims with notepad isn't hard at all unless the song has a lot of these things.

BPM changes/stops
freezes
triples/quads
32nd/48th/64ths

There used to be a thread about making sims on notepad or whatever, I don't know if it's still on FFR though.
Basically you just need to know what 4286, 1937AB, <>, !!, (), [], {}, `' mean.

Im guessing that 4286 is left down up right.

1937AB are jumps.

And I have no idea about the rest.
