    too many advertisements!?!

Hi. I know that ads on your site are probably what keeps FFR running, but recently there has been an increase in pop-up ads that somehow bypass the pop-up blocker that I have. I've been scanning for viruses before and directly after playing FFR and, in one case, found a trojan - possibly hidden in an advertisement. I don't have any say over this, but I just wanted to let you guys know that. Thank you.

The more they have, the more money they get, and you can get them to go away by subscribing if you want.

        Re: too many advertisements!?!

woa woa woa.. I have taken great lengths to go through all of our advertisers and rid us of pop-up ads. You should NOT being seeing any pop-up ads right now. Hopefully over the last week, nobody has seen a single pop-under on the main page.

If you are seeing pop-ups after you play a game of FFR, you have problems beyond FFR because google ads are the only ones we serve on the game page and google does not even support pop-up types. The fact that it is bypassing your filter also leads me to believe that is not coming from the browser but is spyware on your computer.

You need to get yourself a really good scanner.

        Cheers,

        Synthlight

Thanks Synthlight. I scanned my computer again several times (whew). It's OK
now. I must apologize, FFR didn't have any ads with spyware. It just had
annoying ones that "dropped down" from the top. I was probably frustrated. By
the way, could you lead me to the thread on subscription? I'd appreciate it.

Firefox + Adblock = No ads.
