    etude songs...

Going along the lines of comparing FFR to playing music-

Lots of those difficult songs like classical insanity and grand gallop chromatique incorporate many different techniques and common patterns (e.g. running men, jump stream, cross over, rolls).

Are there any recommended songs for practicing any recurring pattern or honing technique?

I hope you folk understand what I mean... >.<

Play songs with the pattern you have trouble with in them.

Haha, I know that, but I was hoping more for something like this:

Straight to Video is a great song for getting used to reading jumps.

epic also has some nice jumpstream, as does frozen...

and klung kung is a great song to practice EVERYTHING. it has stream, it has chains, it has trills, it has running men. all at a nice 175 bpm.

I want to know...how do you accurately do fast crossovers like the ones in Caprice? I saw a video of Shash doing them no problem. How?

hit the arrows when they reach the targets

If you're asking for practice songs, try Tribal, Rondo V1, Uber V1, or For FFR.

The songs you've mentioned are easy compared to the blindingly fast speed of Caprice. It just seems like doing crossovers at a whole new level. I'm like forced to use one finger on either the up or down arrow and the other fingers to pivot the left and right arrows.

Are you index? If you are, I have no idea, as I'm spread (which should be completely obvious if you've seen my vids).

Otherwise...Caprice is 200 BPM. If you want to practice crossovers at 200 BPM...play Caprice.

                        EDIT: Or Hellbeat.
