Re: New keyboard
You probably should get a soft touch keyboard, meaning the keys don't make a lot of noise. I bought a soft touch keyboard for $60 just for FFR, and my PA improved by quite a bit; my keyboard also glows >_> it's pretty nice.
Yay
The creator of my keyboard's Saitek btw.Comment

Re: New keyboard
Just go down to a store and test out some floor models. Whatever feels comfortable... buy it!

Re: New keyboard
ive used about 6 keyboars throught my house, and what ive found is that the Apple (mac) keyboard works best. NOT the wireless one. i costs about 30$ and its about as perfect as i can imagine. its somewhat loud, but it doesnt bother me, personally. you can buy it off the Apple store online.Comment

Re: New keyboard
Anything Logitech works well enough for me as long as you find a good setup. Spread works flawlessly for me, but index I have troubles with registration occasionally.Comment

Re: New keyboard
My default HP keyboard that is too bland it probably doesn't have name is working pretty good. I'm pretty sure you can find it at the HP website. The only problem is if you play keypad is that it will not register if you do jumpy songs. Other then my keyboard, that Saitek Eclipse looks pretty sexy.
Off Topic: I'm wondering.. Does the keys you use to play are eroding? I used to play keypad and my left, right, and down arrow are almost gone. I switched to numpad1, 2, 3, and 5 and now there almost gone too. I find it kind of funny.Comment

Re: New keyboard
Another great thing about my keyboard, the letter designs don't wear, since they're diaphanous, instead of painted.
Anyway, I think louder keyboards hinder good PA. I have an explanation, but I can't really put it in words. =\Comment

Re: New keyboard
Louder keyboards are better for onsync stuff, since you can easily line up the keytaps with the music, but a quiet one helps for offsync ****.Comment

Re: New keyboard
I honestly prefer louder keyboards. I tend to get better accuracy when I listen to my taps matching the arrows. When I have headphones in I tend to have worse accuracy haha.
Also, just look at the keyboard I showed. Tsutter uses it, that's all you need to know.Comment
