I think that this should be new rule, or at least be considered a vital courtesy, that if you are the one picking a song in multiplayer you should ask the other person what their maximum difficulty is. There are too many noobs out there who think they can do more than they really can, and then once you slaughter them, they call you a level raper, and a FFR whore, and so on. It makes me really mad. Just be nice, and before you pick a song like Z, or {Blaze} or something like that, just ask your opponent if they can even do Challenging. If you ask and they still get raped, its their problem. I just had to get that out of my system.

Re: Something To Think About
No, it's their problem no matter what.
If a player doesn't want to play a certain song for whatever reason, they are by no means forced to--they can express their concern before the game starts, rather than whining after getting their ass kicked. Since the in-game difficulties are now accurate, there is no excuse for playing a song that's too hard or too easy for you and then whining later about how it was too hard or too easy.
Also, "level raper" being a bad thing is something I find incredibly amusing (I've never heard it in MP myself). Like I said in another thread, it's essentially another term for "good player". XD4th Official FFR Tournament - Master division champion!

A fairly insignificant problem IMO. Ignoring people always works.
You could always just have the name of your room be "Challenging+."

I generally ask this anyway, because I don't want them leaving because they're scared by the song I choose.Comment

Re: Something To Think About
There are different definitions of "level raper" to different people. My definition is a guy that does one song over and over again until he can pretty much AAA it in his sleep. Then as soon as he picks a song, he uses that one to beat his opponent every time. That, i think, is cheap although i realize it is perfectly okay as far as rules go. Thats my take on "level raper"Comment

Well, think about it this way. If you get good at something, you want to play it against someone else ... because let's admit it ... it's nice to beat someone on something you worked on.Comment

Ya, and i mean it in the way as you memorize it for the purpose of being cheap and gaining mp, not for fun. And everyone does it at some point, i do it every once in awhile, especially at ddr. Im just saying that its just a cheap way of winning. If your good at it, feel proud that people make that asian dude face when you kick their ass, just try not to do it in a sleazy way.Comment
