Hitting air on a keyboard makes me sad.... because, 1 time out of 5, I will hit both the arrows.... and one will be good. One. the other will be Perfect. Does this happen to anyone else? Is it just me or is this a fault of the game?

just you. there's no special trick to hitting perfs on jumps in FFR.
Do note, however, that it's NOT the same as DDR or SM in that the arrows are separate from one another...so you CAN get a good one only one of them, or miss only one of them, whereas in DDR/SM if you miss one you miss the other automatically.
I personally FAR prefer FFR's system and think it makes way more sense...it's one of the reasons I generally prefer FFR to SM, actually.4th Official FFR Tournament - Master division champion!

a: you get a combo +2
