About FFR...

I have great PA on Stepmania, meaning I can AAA most songs. Like Princess, Ageha, Endless Dream, Aztec Templing or Summer -Speed Mix-. But for some reason, I always get at least 10 good on every song on FFR.

Is it because of my comp?

Correct me if I'm wrong (which I probably am).

Perfect window in SM is 0.450 seconds.
Perfect window in FFR is 3/30 frames (0.300 seconds).

Scroll rate might also be a factor.

Perfect window in FFR is 0.05 seconds (1.5/30 frames)

Actually it's pretty close.

You guys are talking about perfect window vs perfect window but in SM you are going for marvs, not perfs, so is the marv window even stricter or what?

Also, the main complaint on FFR is the scroll rate of C300, that's why a lot of SM'ers can't do as well as they'd like to.

perf window in FFR is a full tenth of a second. bigger than the GREAT window of SM.

the difference is pretty shocking when you actually make the comparison. 30 FPS balances it out, though.

Well, LJRoX, I'd believe so. Going from this computer to my laptop, I'm a bit better, and going from my laptop to my dad's laptop I improve to probably perfect window, or near it. I guess.

Unless you have something really good for a computer, I doubt you're getting perfect window.

ps. I'm just assuming what perfect window is: the fastest frame rate it can go.

Is it really that much bigger? That explains why I feel like I don't get perfs alot of times that I do.

What exactly are the frame windows for Good/Miss then Good then Perf then Good then Average?

all are .03333 seconds, except the .1 second perf window.

i had the same prob.. and i thought it was my computer..
but then i just bought a new keyboard and that helped me a lot
even though im back to where i started cause the better one broke
its just a suggestion =)

Oops...yeah, I meant 1/10 (3/30) of a second. It'd be much, much different if FFR was 60 fps or so rather than 30.

Once again, FFR + math = don't mix (at least for me).

Anyways, FFR AAA's are rlyrlywerd.
