wtf is the point of credit max anyway? Having no limit could make it possible to add more secret and purchased songs at a faster rate because people would be earning them faster.
It could also help prevent clogging up the dance section.FFR.

If the max is raised or eliminated, only some people would earn credits faster, the ones who can score enough points to get over the current cap. People like me who can't score that high don't really get a benefit from having the cap eliminated.
What would let *everyone* gain credits faster is changing the credits/points value. From another thread, it's 1 credit per 50000 points scored. If it was, for example, 1 credit per 25000 points scored, everyone would gain credits twice as fast. However, there's a chance that the price of purchased songs and the number of credits needed for secret songs would have to double to compensate, so I'm not sure the admins would do this.
Essentially retired now, but still ranked on the list of FFR's Top One Handers.

When you are good enough, earning 40 credits per song would mean you could have 4000 credits in 100 songs, or 40,000 credits in 1000 songs played.
If there was no limit then you could be earning 100,000 in 1000 songs, or 1 million credits in 1000 songs, where would it end.
You need a credit maximum because otherwise credits would get to be too worthless.
It's a bit like inflation really.Comment

I'm not saying it's clogged up yet, but the admins have said that they do not want to add songs to dance, as it will become crowded eventually. They're mainly just trying to avoid getting to an 8th page.
Actually, with the current system, the most credits you could get would be 94 on a Pants AAA. Nobody's done that so far, and I doubt they would raise the amount of points needed for 1 credit. Heck, I can see them lowering it if need be.
Plus, they would have to do that everytime. Besides, there are maybe less than 10 songs where you would get more than 50 credits FC, and they are all 4 minutes or higher, which nobody wants to whore constantly.Last edited by eurostud4; 01-14-2007, 11:09 AM.FFR.

In current credit system without capping, FC pants gives you 95, MAX Forever gives 85, Klung gives 53, etc.
They are definitely worth those credits for the length and notes.
It's quite unfair for these songs to set capping at 40.Comment
