    Screen resolution?

I have a 1024x768 screen res on this computer, and I don't do too bad, but earlier I went to my gran's house, her computer's a bit newer than mine, and she has a bigger monitor with a 1280x1024 res. And for some reason my performance was doubled, and I broke my records on 5 songs.

This isn't a real serious topic, just what resolution do you have, and do you think it matters??

    Re: Screen resolution?

This computer is 800x600, and I'm not sure what the one I'm best at it. I once tried changing the resolution to make things as big as I could, and I only did a tiny bit better, if at all. I think it only helps a tiny bit from it making the arrows appear to be scrolling a tiny bit faster.

This computer is at 1280 so I find I end up scrunching in close to the computer to read faster stuff and kill my neck.

        1024 is my preference.

I prefer smaller res. That's why I did better on my gran's pc. Or maybe it was just the change. Or maybe I was lucky. But I think a 1600x1200 would be pushing it...

Is this a fact? Larger makes for more efficient play?

Higher resolution make the game screen smaller, which doesn't affect the game playing at all for me though.

Higher resolution = more processing for the computer.

Faster gameplay on older computers is 800x600
(The game screen window will be bigger, but more pixelated)

Mine is at 1024x768 but i got a one year old Sony Vaio. It's not all that fast, but it does good at 1024x768.
(the game screen window will be smaller, but more smooth)

If I'm wrong then sorry but I'm just getting this data from personal experience.

The smaller the resolution on CRT monitors the higher you can raise your refresh rate (In general) I think at 800x600 I can get a 150hz refresh rate which would look completely different from the 85hz I'm running at now.
