FFR Scoring System

Hey.

I hope this isn't one of those taboo topics to ask about, and sorry if it's already been asked. But I read in another thread roughly how FFR is scored (it was a post by Tass) and I just wanted to know how the entire system is scored. I kind of act as my school's liason for anything FFR-related (yeah ok, I know it's sad), and people, including myself, are curious. So if anyone knows and it's not a problem to tell me, please do!

I used to represent my school on LI, but I moved. So the responsibilty moved to my friend Cheaterson, who isn't as good as me. But enough about me.

I am also confused as to how combo breaks work. Why is a break in the middle so much more damaging than at the beginning or the end? I want to know.

FFR scoring works like this:

Perf - 550
Good - 275
Average - 55
Miss - -310
Boo - -20

Then, your max combo x 1000 is added to get your total score.

I think the score system is great but its the rank system that bothers me. But what the rank system is right now probably is better than my "you pass a certain score on a song you get that rank and it stays at that rank until you get a better score" idea.

What on earth is wrong with the rank system? Unless you mean overall rank, which is obviously a fairly flawed concept to begin with.
