    Does FFR support Hold Arrows?

I've noticed that none of the song has Hold Arrows.
Is that because creators didn't include it in the song, or is it because FFR doesn't support it?
Thanks to everyone that answers me.

The original FFR the game does not support that or hands (Triples or quads). If you check R2 or Resonance however, they support giving reason to believe that when R3 comes out which shouldn't be all that far away that FFR will have capabilities never before seen.

Re: Does FFR support Hold Arrows?

I am noticing that triples and quads are more difficult to hit in Resonance than in StepMania. (If this is the case for you, do NOT attempt to play Moonearth on Resonance. The whole ending is like a jumpstream, only instead of jumps, they're triples and quads.) It's either the game still doesn't register more than two arrows hit simultaneously, forcing you to treat them as rolls, or maybe it's just a keyboard issue. I'm still not sure which.

Dude, you have no idea. R3 will make you breakfast and then brush your teeth while you play. Synth is working on waterproof technology as we speak so you can play R3 in the shower. It will definitely be badass.

Seriously, though, hands are debatable since not all keyboards can support certain configurations of 3-4 arrows simultaneously. Freeze arrows should be standard fare as in R2 or Resonance. However, I wouldn't count on the freeze arrows to be included in R1.

Trips and quads are possible in the current FFR but as a general rule, not used.

          And yeah, everything kwik said.

Re: Does FFR support Hold Arrows?

Another reason hold arrows are unlikely to pop up in R1 is that we'll already have 150+ (likely even 200+ by then) files without them in the game...I personally think they're better off staying in R2/Res.

Also, triples and quads would probably only be permissible in EXTREMELY HARD (6 on the Chardish scale) songs, since a keyboard that can't handle triples/quads is very unlikely to be able to handle those songs anyway. Doubt you'll see them in anything else.

Yeah, kinda what I said. I don't even remember if it's still up on the game, but in the purchase section, I think it was a Party 4 U file that had trips and quads - the only one I can think of on the game. I personally don't use them and they are generally not used in FFR.

Kwik--P4U V1 was taken down BECAUSE it had hands in it. All that's left is V2 as of now.

Yeah, I went back and checked it out (raised my rank on that song by about 6,000). It was in fact P4U V1 which had the trips and quads.

So, in summary - there are no hands in FFR because they're illegal in 37 states and banned from 6 countries outside of the United States. There are no freeze arrows in R1 because the 100 other songs already included would get insanely jealous.

You can do GGC and OMW without your keyboard giving you misses, but it won't register 3 at once?

                      Impressive.

Some key combinations on my old keyboard were like that. If I played left down 86 I could AAA stream but get goods on every jump.

32nds, actually. They'd more than likely become hands if they were 64ths.

No song in the entire game currently has hands.
