I've made stepfiles before I still just don't have a clue what he's talking about. If it has to do with directly making it from notepad I haven't done it like that though.

Yeah.... well, just go into a song and put in a left on beat 2, then a down on beat 3 etc and then look at what it is in notepad. You'll figure things out pretty fast, but you have to be a real master to actually make one in notepad. I can't even get close.

Turns are incredibly easy two handed. Certain things in runs can be difficult for one hand...the most annoying being 84828482 etc. Two hands help that a little though they have other small downsides.
