Meh...I use the colors of the actual steprating to differentiate. But that's just me...

Lol, how rare would it be to get a good at the very end of the song? You'd have to be really shaking at the end or something lol

You are correct ieatyou, but in the community here everyone refers to one good as a black flag.

Exag0n, it actually happens fairly frequently in DDR. Happens because people pay less attention right at the end of a song (In my experience)

Also, white flag is a good at the start of the song. Also pretty common.

That always happens to me. Whenever I get a really high combo, my hands get shaky so I just forget to press the key.. it sucks!

everyone has tons of black flags..... not that big of a rarity...


I know there was one point in which I had about 8 BFs, and 21 or 22 files with 3 or less goods. No idea how many I currently have, as I managed to finally AAA a few of my BFs, like Beethoven Virus, HD5, Hanabi.

Current ones off the top of my head: Fantranstic, Funk in G, 100 bar blackout... Go Go Go Power Rangers and FFR Evolution are both 1G/1B. And I have way more at 2 goods: Stalled Out and Sushi Bars, Moonbeam, Ressurection in Progress, Start Something, Bubble Bobble, Domani, Legend of Zelda, 136.6, Last Firstborn.

Few more at 3 goods too... so that is 5 BFs and 9 2 goods. After getting rid of a few AAAs to bring me up to 69 AAAs total.

So, yea... I understand BFs. When you start BFing the same song OVER and OVER again... that is when it becomes frustrating.

My absolute most frustrating file is Thinking Different. I've literally gotten 3 goods on it 25 or 30 times, never gotten better.


edit: I had 2 BFs on the last note of a song... HD5 (which I later AAAd) and Funk in G (which I've BFed 4 different times to date). Also, back when I sucked, I BFed La Luna Calda on the last note more than once, but that is semi-understandable... the last note slows down.

I feel your pain. I've gotten 4 goods on Thinking Different several times. I've given up on the song for now. On LLC, I would always black flag the second to last note (but I finally AAA'd it a few days ago. Ugh, never...never again). About one out of every four times I attempt to AAA a song, I'll get some sort of flag, contributing to an already built-up amount of frustration.

I'll probably try to AAA MLR in the next few days, during which I expect more flags. Hooray. : |

Flags are pieces of cloth, usually rectangular in shape, attached to a staff or pole of some sort.

For rhythm games, usually exactly one of a judgement and everything else better.

Anyways, that MLR was about 2 weeks ago. AAA'd later on.

To save you some scrolling, common FFR flags include:

blackflag - 1 good
greenflag - 1 average
booflag - 1 boo
