A pattern that has a step than a jump then a step than a jump, ect.

Up=8
Down=2
Left=4
Right=6

Pattern like this: 4+6, 2, 2+8, 6, 4+8, 4, 2+6, 8, ect.

That's not really conventional jumpstream.

Jumpstream usually means a jump every 4 notes, with more occasionally thrown in. Exciting Hyper Highspeed Star in Dance is basically jumpstream for the whole song, if you want an example.

You're wrong. Doubles within a stream = 23 keystrokes including spaces. Jumpstream = 10. Therefore, it's easier to say that it's jumpstream.

Shash, what dore posted is definitely jumpstream. It's just a short stream, and it has more than just jumps on every quarter note. As for your picture, it could be confusing for people who don't understand yet because of the red arrow syndrome.

What the hell is a jump every 8th note then? I always thought that was Jumpstream as well, just a different type (8th note Jumpstream)

There's not really a name for that that I know of, I just call it alternating tap-jumps =/

It's pretty rare anyway, the only files I can think of in SM that use it a lot are Hayden's Stunt Flying and Hi19's Destiny.
