Hand setups:
There are several ways people play. Here are the most common:
1-handed: Put your ring finger on left, middle on down, and index on the right arrow. Now maneuver with your fingers in that manner. Up can be reached using all 3 fingers as needed.
2-handed: You can double up the keys and let your index and middle hold the keys in many different methods. Just try it yourself, you'll find something comfortable.
arch0wl-style: Use your index fingers only... bitch.
What to play?
Brand new: Hop over to the arcade section and play the mario song. When you can full combo that then go over to the Dance section and look for Trip to the Moon or that dumb computer dreams song. Those are good to play (but the songs suck). Afterwords, try The Return F Superdouble (holy crap, good hiphop) in the hiphop section and Stay With Me by Celldweller in the rock section.
Intermediate: Dendrite is an awesome song... just awesome. Play it lots. It is perfectly on-sync and incredibly fun. It is also quite varied so you get practice in many areas. Then move on to Life Goes On in the Dance Section, as well as Secret Zombie Room in the secret section. Afterwards, try stepping it up to songs like 4f73r m3, and the Final Fantasy Boss Battle song.
Getting Advanced: Last Firstborn by Cell Dweller is a good song, it has practice with some strange hand motions, also Stalled out and Sushi Bars is pretty darn good. Also by now Caprice should be making sense to your hands. Work on getting over 400-450k on it. When you feel good Try Uber Rave and For FFR, both songs are great.
Where can I purchase songs?
Well if the big box saying no songs yet didn't ward you off... There are no songs yet.
How many credits is a lot?
There is no answer to that question, don't ask.
Where is the high scores button?
It is currently AWOL, hopefully it will be captured and returned soon.
How can I submit a song to FFR?
Make a stepfile... make it not suck. (Use NOTE skins and assist tick to ensure that it is onbeat). Then get permission from the author, if you don't do this then the song isn't put up... So don't go trying to get your l33t455 Linkin Park stepfile put up because Linkin Park doesn't care about FFR (and Linkin Park sucks).
Where did the secret songs go?
Well first off, they never existed in the first place. But the little 'x' on the input code box has been removed so you can't play them... For now.
