It might've been answered elsewhere, but:

On my regular computer, it can recognize 3 or 4 key combinations, but if I try to do that here on my laptop it just beeps and freaks out.

Do you know how I could make it recognize those?

make sure numlock is not on. other than that... some keyboards just won't recognize more than 2 keypresses at once.
