i must admit Team Domination is on a definite comeback. it was huge a long time ago and its gaining once again. theres only one problem: you either love or hate TD. there is no grayshade. ah well.
To all whom read this, whats your take on Team Domination or teams in general? FFR is a weird game to have teams on but does that explain their rapid popularity? Reply!
Also, while your typing a reply, tell me what you think about a general FFR tournament? it would be cool to have EVERYONE in this. we could make a add on site to our teams site that would host different classes in the tournament such as beginner, novice, etc. what do you think?

I don't love or hate TD.
As for teams in general...meh, if people like it, then that's fine. I have a team, of course, but it's not exactly the most serious thing in the world XD4th Official FFR Tournament - Master division champion!

IMO it is just one more way for people to attempt to seperate one group from another. the cool from the uncool. the jocks from the nerds. this clique versus that clique. and it is pretty damn stupid, considering it isn't a team game. every person is for themselves.
AND... all those are negatives... there are no positives. but the biggest negative is people like Shash (although he isn't alone, far from it), who have created multiple usernames and have gotten top scores with them. I know Shash has 3 of the top15 scores on some songs, with 3 different usernames. Frankly, that is ridiculous... and completely skews the ranking system for those of us who are very good, but not amazing. All of my consistent 40-70th place ranks could easily be 10 spots higher if not for the multiple account abuse.
So, yea. Teams, in general, have absolutely zero positives to them.RIPComment

i know that it would delay progress with 3rd style to actually implement a clan system in it, but what if the tournament purpose is to show the interest in having a clan system? we could actually see the turnout, and if it is successful, we can go from there?Comment

okay im just wondering if LD is finding that it might or might not be worth it to make the clan system on 3rd style. because isnt that type of functionality going to require to redesign some of the interface, redesign the entire concept of FFR? if he is willing to go through with it it would delay the release by a long time, or maybe he has a trick up his sleeve. or then again theres the "i dont think thats a good idea" approach :P. in any case, im happy. 3rd style with or without team functions is fine with me.Comment
