    FFR skills

I was wondering if you had any benefit from FFR skills in real life (or other games). E.g. your reflexes getting faster. I was playing some StepMania with some friends (they never saw it before) and they were like "wow" and they assumed I was (lol) good at fighting, good at chess, good at other games which involves arrows and good at puzzles. I was like "wtf" and I do not excell in neither of the things above, but I started thinking and there might be some core of truth. Probably not the listed things, however.

So, is FFR skill useful for anything else besides FFR/StepMania? And perhaps DDR.

How does FFR make you good at chess? I'm only good at chess because I've played it for years and played against masters and ****.

FFR hasn't really improved anything for me, I used to be able to type fast (100+wpm) and still can do, I used to be able to read fast, I still can read fast.

I had to laugh a few days ago though, was playing MMBN3 and for some strange reason for about 5 minutes I couldn't get the combo off for one of the VarSword attacks, and on msn my mate was saying "wtf, how can you not get that, you can hit 1125192581 arrows a second yet you can't do a combo". Turned out I was doing the combo too fast for it to register, I had to slow down. I guess that's it really.

But when I got it I beat Metalman in 14 seconds and got the V4 chip for being in teamstyle. To Omega: I will beat it all, the game is awesome.

Basically, it is the inverse... the people who are fast typers and/or good piano players are generally the ones who are able to do the insanely fast stuff on SM/FFR. Nima, Reach, aperson... all insanely fast typers, and I know Nima and Reach are both excellent piano players.

I type 110-120 wpm proper English and around 135 wpm just typing normal, and the fastest I can get up to is about 220 bpm :/

Hmm.. well, I don't really know about it making you good at chess.. but I noticed myself improving my clarinet and piano playing, as well as my typing. So who knows. There may be a point to playing FFR 24/7 after all. XD

Typing speed: ~138wpm? (690kpm) on typera.tk for english sentences, 2 minutes
Piano speed: 16ths at ~200bpm (~800kpm) (although it's been awhile)
Stepmania speed: Long 16th streams at 240bpm (960kpm), short bursts at 260bpm (1040kpm)

                  You decide =/

If FFR/SM helps you out with anything, it's a stronger sense of rhythm (at least, if you play well-synced songs).
                  hehe

I THINK IT DOES IN A WAY. FOR ME THOUGH, FOR THE REASON THAT I PLAY FFR WITH ONE HAND, THE RIGHT.
IT MAKES ME MORE SKILLED IN PLAYING GUITAR AND MAKE BAD ASS SOLOS. SO YEAH, IT HELPS ME BUT I DON'T THINK FOR ANYOTHER REASON. FFR IS HERE TO ENTERTAIN US.
                      It makes me wonder....

Hey you! stop looking at me!!!
