We just keep coming up with new ideas, so it's possible we may never get out of Beta until the game is as best as it can be. Either that, or Synth will consider Remix the real release.

Nope, wrong.
alpha = game engine in place. environments building. general idea of what the game is.
beta = core elements of gameplay down. environments near completion. Beta testing starts. optimiztion and compatability.
(crunch time) Work on the engine and gameplay and environnments is completely frozen. Testing for final product. If product fails testing, go back to beta.

All corny math jokes aside, I doubt there will be an actual "Final" release except for maybe a downloadable FFR Remix edition.
