    Intermediate Guide

How do you define intermediate? What is the purpose of this? Well simply put, this is just a reference and a tool that tries to separate the "One Last Battle" players and the "Silence" players... because there are very few songs inbetween that aren't either too hard or too easy in some aspects. This tries to help players (like me) find out what can help the best to help people advance. This was made by me, an intermediate player, who's just sort of been sitting here for a while, but I've started to know I'm rapidly getting better, meaning it has to do with the songs I'm choosing and the amount I'm playing. Basically, this is a bunch of good songs to try to play with if you're an intermediate player.

I've noticed a noob guide on how to advance and get better at FFR, but I haven't seen and intermediate guide from an intermediate player. This is generally for the person who can just barely beat Breaking the Common without losing an arrow, or the person who can only go so fast at streams.

Basically what I'm trying to do now is advance different areas of gameplay. What I do to make myself better is to play songs that are doable, but are just a little too tough to get perfect on. Songs that are very good for play that normally you as a player might look at as a little hard at first, but eventually might get better at with a lot of hard work and practice.

When I look at a group of arrows that are really bunched together (as in a Classical song), my first thought is "Mash! Mash that keyboard until the keys are broken!", but really I just started to think: What if I took these seriously and started trying to keep up? Well here's a few songs that are good for specific areas that I use to help me train. Since this is an intermediate sort of guide, this might be looked at funny by senior members...

    Warmups

-Beethoven Virus (decent for streams, not bad for speed increase)
-Breaking the Common (excellent for streams)
-Lethal Injection (good for hops, or jumps, or whatever you people call them)
-Uber Rave (Decent for just about everything but jumps)

Stream... a workout of speed and enhanced awareness. This gets a little more complicated.

    -Hellbeat
-Stalled Out and Sushi (Try to FC if possible)
    -X-Dreamer Final Cut
    -Chronotrigger
-One Last Battle (FC this... or try to get 15 credits or better)
-Breaking the Common (FC if possible... try and it'll come in time)

    Jumps... keep those fingers moving!

-Lethal Injection (the best intermediate practice)
    -Hellbeat
-Flight of the Bumblebee (both fun to do, and great practice)
-CIA Rave (The beggining and some middle parts are great practice)
-Delirium (Great for more advanced players, and practice)

    Jackhammers... boom boom boom

    -Flight of the Bumblebee
    -AIM Anthem

I hope these songs give you a good idea of what to practice, and what you should try to use as a reference. If you really try to focus and keep up your pase, you should be able to FC songs like Breaking the Common and Stalled out and Sushi Bars. Good luck, and make sure you keep focus and tabs about how well you're doing and where your skill level is. Try to use the markers as songs. By markers, I mean the rank it gives you on an individual song after completion. And always remember, try to hit every arrow.

    Good luck, and happy hunting!

Flight of Bumblebee doesn't have any jumps. Those are simple trills.

        at the beginning it does.

        down left
        down left
        up right
        up right

        (repeat this times 4)

then it goes into a segment of some other jumps.

          Wrong. Those are also trills.

Suzuru is also wrong...there are two jumps and the end of FotBB =P

And since when is Hellbeat a streamy song? It barely has any stream at all...

FotBB also doesn't really contain jacks, just fast trills. If you want jacks, go to Revolutionary Etude =)

I'm intermediate and I don't even use those to warm up. I start Hanabi then i'll play any other song. Bumblebee isn't such a great song either.

I love FFR! It's the best ever!!!
