    Classical Songs

    How come some of the classical songs have different names?

    Rondo Alla Turca - Turkish March
    One Mintue Waltz - Petit Chien

    They're all in my piano books, and I've only gone on 4 classicals..

      I'm going to take a guess here
      Rondo = Round
      Alla = about
      Turca = Turkey

      or, a march around turkey, turkish march

      OMW:
      Petit = small/short
      Chien -> I'm going to take a guess that it means waltz

      so, its just another language, same title.

        Same thing with Moonlight Sonata and Sonata Claro de Luna, I think. No big deal, just different names.

          Chien means dog. So you're just a little off...

            Because they're in different languages. I just suppose that FFR decided to keep the original names on some of them and English names on others.
