Problem making it hard to play FFR

I'm sure someone has come across this before and fixed it... My problem is that in harder songs of FFR, when I press the keys as fast as I'm supposed to my computer makes a beeping noise, and then my game lags for a second. This causes me to lose my combo and any chance of getting an FC on the song. Does anyone have a fix to this problem? I know it's not my keyboard, it has something to do with some bios or windows setting. I have plugged my keyboard into other computers and have not had this problem. I know its not any of the accessability options in windows, I have disabled all of those. If anyone has a fix to this problem, or can at least tell me what causes it, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

What keys are you using

Control, Alt, Shift and Tab? :S

Haha.

Turn off numlock. That should fix your beeping.

I'm using the arrow keys... and I never have numlock on.

Get a new keyboard or try and use the numpad keys.

this happens with me too, i could use number pad, but it doesn't work for sm

you can remap the keys in SM under options->joypad

New keyboard, my keyboard on my desktop comp does that too.

So I awalys use this external one I got.

My keyboards suck like that too, so I just used to playing with the 2, 4, 6, and 8 keys on the numpad.

Just use down left arrow for left hand and 8 and 6 on numpad for right if you are spread. Registers quads even though my arrows don't register a triple.
