help me please (mario 8 bit)

i got what i thought was a perfect score today on mario just to see that some guys got 515510 on it. how? i got all arrows perfect no boos but i only got half thaT. is he using the mods or something? please help me

They are hacked scores, which are resetted, but people love to cheat. Nothing you can do about it.
